Welcome to SC Models March 2009 newsletter; in this edition we would like to introduce you to some of our latest products in our ever expanding range. If you haven't visited our website in a while please have a look at all of our new stuff. Velocity RC

SC Models is now the proud Australian dealer for Velocity RC Jets. Velocity currently offers two electric ducted fan jets the Mirage and the T-33. Both jets feature a highly detailed fibreglass fuselage, balsa covered foam wings covered in quality film and all hardware. The kit also includes a high performance WM Fan. These planes have great flying characteristics and also look great. They can be bungy launched or launched by the use of a dolly undercarriage system (not included with the kit). WM Fans

SC Models is proud to bring to Australia the next big name in EDF jets. It's the Velocity WM fan unit. This high performance 70mm EDF fan unit is manufactured from carbon and specially formulated ABS and hence is extremely rigid and able to withstand high G Forces unlike other plastic fan units. In contrast to other EDF units this fan unit has inlet guide vanes arranged in front of the motor, this is a more efficient setup for small EDF set-up's. If you are into electric jets and looking for a high quality low cost fan unit for your next plane then look no further than the Velocity WM fan unit.

Check out the Velocity B29-56 high performance brushless motor that put out a nominal 1000W and 2kg thrust when coupled to the WM fan.

Yardbird RC

SC Models is now the exclusive distributor of Yardbird RC. These sensational flying aircraft are made from Depron and American made carbon fibre. The kit also includes all top quality hardware, quality nylon control horns and clevises. The custom made decals are included as part of the kit. These planes can perform inside and outside loops, barrel rolls only your imagination will hold you back. Unlike other foamies the receiver, electronic speed controller and battery are hidden under a large access door. This gives the model a clean look from below. They are as much fun in the wind as they are in the calm.

They are available in an F-18, YB-22 and Mig 29 and all have great flying characteristics. If you are after a great flying plane that you can fly any where this is the plane for you.

SC Power Lithium Batteries

SC Power batteries were introduced to you in the August newsletter. Our range of SC Power batteries is constantly expanding and now offers batteries from 2 cell 1000mAh to 6 cell 5300mAh lithium batteries. SC Power lithium batteries use the latest technology to enable them to be charged at 2C, this is twice the rate of standard Li-Po packs. This means that you can charge them in half the time and get more flights per pack per day. We have a large range of pack sizes currently available and our range is getting larger all the time so keep a look out for your favourite size. If there is a size that you are after but we don't have it in stock just ask us and we will do our best to get one for you. Receiver packs are now also available. For the price of a standard Li-Po pack get a 2C SC Power pack.
